Liverpool CCG has adopted its first Social Value Strategy to improve the economic, social and environmental wellbeing of the people we serve. Liverpool CCG’s approach goes beyond the minimum requirements of the Social Value Act 2012 and demonstrates its commitment to improving health outcomes and economic opportunities for Liverpool.
Dr Nadim Fazlani, LCCG Chair, highlighting the importance of the strategy in creating a resilient NHS for future generations said: “NHS Liverpool Clinical Commissioning Group is committed to taking innovative approaches to reducing the health inequalities in our city. This strategy gives us a framework to support improving the social determinants of health and to use our influence in the local NHS in particular to ensure that NHS spend and behaviour is working as hard as possible to support Liverpool people. We will be looking to support the local economy and a healthy environment and will want to see prevention and social contact built into the way providers deliver services.”
