Patient Participation Group views sought on health services in Liverpool

For the attention of our patient participation group members, please see this letter from Liverpool CCG:

Dear Patient Participation Group Member,

As you may be aware, for more than two years now, local doctors and other people involved in the NHS and council have been making plans for Healthy Liverpool, our approach to improving the health of the city. We’ve also been talking to many Liverpool residents and patient groups about what they think of the priorities we’ve set out and how plans could be improved. These conversations have been extremely valuable in helping to shape how plans are forming and identifying the priority areas we are focusing on, these are:

  • Living Well
  • Community Services
  • Hospital Services
  • Urgent and Emergency Care
  • Digital technology

We are currently having conversations with people about how plans are developing for Community services, Hospital services and Urgent and Emergency care services. As members of your practices patient participation group we would really like the opportunity to share these plans with you and hear your thoughts about them. We are holding a specific event for patient participation groups that we would like to invite you to.

The event will take place:

Thursday 18th February 2016,

at The Quaker Meeting House, 22 School Lane, Liverpool L1 3BT.

Lunch will be provided

At the event we would also like to discuss how PPG’s might like to be further involved in the work of NHS Liverpool CCG and how we could support you as groups, while also providing an opportunity for you to share your experiences and learning with us.

If you would like to attend the event please click here to reserve your place or call us on 0151 296 7537.

If you have any special requirements we need to know about for the event, for example dietary needs, hearing loop, large print information etc, please let us know when you register. Unfortunately disabled parking is not available but if you have mobility requirements we would be happy to arrange free transport for you to attend the event. Again, If you would like us to arrange this, please mention when booking your place.

If you are unable to attend the event, you can still share your thoughts about Healthy Liverpool with us through our new two way chat space on our website. On the site you can share your thoughts and stories with us and we’ll share ours! You need to REGISTER to join in, which takes just one minute. If you don’t have access to the internet we would be happy to keep you updated by post. Give us a call on 0151 296 7537 and we’ll add your details to our mailing list.

I do hope you are able to attend the event, we would love to hear from you.

Very best wishes,

Kelly Jones
