Lung Cancer Screening
Monday, 27 April 2026People in Liverpool are being asked to have a lung screening check if they are eligible.
Those aged 55 to 74 who smoke or used to smoke can have the Lung Cancer Screening test. Some people may have had one before but they are being invited back for the check every two years, while for others this will be their first time.
Lung Cancer Screening – which used to be called a Targeted Lung Health Check – is a telephone appointment to talk about your risk of lung cancer. Those at higher risk will be offered a scan to make sure everything is okay.
If you get a text or letter about Lung Cancer Screening, please don’t ignore it, it’s from the NHS and your GP advises you should have it.
